Blanche A. Liter, Age 85, Succumbs At Culver Hospital- Mrs. Blanche A. Liter, 85, who had lived at 212 W. Pike St., since 1938, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. She had been a patient at the hospital since Oct. 28 and had been in failing health since 1957. Mrs. Liter was born north of Crawfordsville Oct. 2, 1877, daughter of Harrison and Nancy Paxton Flannigan. She was married to John H. Liter in February 1895 at the home of her parents in Darlington. A member of the Youngs Chapel Christian hurch, Mrs. Liter was active in church work until her health failed. She was a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans and the Manchester Home Economics Club. She and her husband farmed near Youngs Chapel until they moved to Crawfordsville. Her husband died in 1942. Surviving are a daughter, Marie Liter, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Harry Flanigan, Crawfordsville and Newton Flanigan, Cleveland, Ohio, and a sisters, Mabel Brenton, Detroit. Four brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. John Servies will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
